Caracas, capital of Venezuela, it is located to the feet of Hill the �vila. It is the most important city in Venezuela, not only for their population, their monuments, their industries and their trade; but also to be residence of the high powers of the nation: The Presidency of the Republic and of their Ministers, of the Supreme Court of Justice and where the Cameras of Deputies and Senators meet. It is also headquarters archbishopric.

Caracas is celebrate in the history to be cradle of the most illustrious men's in the America; as they are: Francisco de Miranda, precursor of the American Independence. Sim�n Bol�var, the biggest statesman in America, liberator of several nations of South America; including Venezuela; and Andr�s Bello, the first of the writers from America

It possesses wonderful buildings, wide avenues, parks and walks beautified with grandiose monuments to the eminent persons of the independence

Caracas, when being located in a valley this surrounded of mountains, some have been taken to build beautiful urbanizations, others are taken by people that come from the interior of the republic or of the exterior looking for to improve their level economic partner, constituting this way a belt of misery that you begins to see since you arrives at the airport of Maiquet�a. Some housings are of block, others are small built " ranches " with sheets of zinc, charts and other materials discarded by the rest of the inhabitants.

The hill the �vila, (Wuaraira Repano, in indigenous language) vegetable lung of Caracas a mountain of 2.600 meters, where the Hotel Humboldt is located, to which you arrives for a cable car. That it leaves from Marip�rez and that it was built in the time of the General Marcos P�rez Jim�nez dictatorship.

As much the hotel as the cable car have been several years without activity but recently they were privatized and one has the hope that at the beginning of the year 2000 already this again in activity. There it is a skating hint on ice, a series of restaurants of quick food, among other things.

We can also ascend to the �vila from different entrances that are at level of the Bench mark thousand (freeway). Ascending from the entrance of the parish San Jos�, we can arrive to the position of Guard parks of The Deer where one can spend the night in a house that formerly served of coffee country property; The country properties the Trinitarian .

Also from the Deer (Venados), you arrives at the Town of Galip�n, the only ones with authorization to live in this National Park, because they are upward of the old residents of the colonial time that arrived to Venezuela from the Island Canarias. They are devoted to the cultivation of the flowers that then are sold to adorn the houses from Caracas; they also cultivate strawberries, Moorish, peaches that are sold in the one on the way to ascent toward The Deer. From Galip�n we can lower until the central coast in a lapse of 20 minutes. Also, the sportsmen have a favorite entrance that is Sabas Snows (Sabas Nieves) where roads exist that allows us to ascend about 400 .
